Born in 1922 in Marblehead, Wisconsin, Leonard August Pagano is celebrated as a renowned pilot, deftly traversing the sky for over six decades. Len learned to fly and gained his passion for flight at a small airport near his home in Waukesha. Over the course of his long and successful career, he was highly respected as a "pilot's pilot."

Len learned his passion for the true art of flying, and an abiding love and dedication to his home, thanks to his family and especially his wife, Lorraine, whom he met when they flew for Capital Airlines. Len?€™s parents immigrated to the U.S. from Italy and settled in Waukesha, where Len grew up and learned to fly, a skill further honed during his service in the Navy. Throughout his career, he inspired and led others, while working for Capital Airlines, during his over 20 years as corporate pilot at Roper Pump Company, and during his over 30 years as corporate pilot for Colony Homes, where he happily ended his career. Len also is praised as deeply religious and spiritual, and many decades flying in the heavens no doubt made the spiritual seem more meaningful and real.

There was no flight maneuver that did not come easily to Len, and his mastery and love of flight are unmatched. Therefore, we celebrate and honor him with the entry of his name on the Wall of Honor.
