    Leonard E. Capon, an aeronautical Engineer, worked for 35 years on a number of major aerospace programs including the Apollo Moon Landing, the B-70 mach-3 bomber, and numerous other programs, finally performing design engineering on the 30mm M230 chain gun for the AH-64 Apache helicopter.

    After retiring from industry he worked as a volunteer docent at the Champlin Fighter Aircraft Museum on Falcon Field Airport, Mesa, Arizona until the museum closed and the aircraft were transferred to the Museum of Flight, Seattle, Washington.
