I was in the 10th Air Force, Tenth Squadron, Third Group of a Combat Cargo Unit in China Burma India from May 1944 to May 1945 Rank of 1st Lt. I Flew 240 missions and was awarded the DFC with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, two Battle Stars, and a Presidential Unit Citation ribbon.
The Chinese Government awarded me the China War Memorial Medal and an honorary set of Chinese Air Force Pilot Wings for service to their country during the Japanese invasion of their country.
