    Lewis Butler has over 40 years' experience in air traffic control related duties. His air traffic (AT) career began in the United States Air Force (USAF) where he served his country overseas, followed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and then, after retirement from Federal Service in 1994, he joined the private sector where he remains today.

    While with the FAA he held responsible positions at the field facility, national headquarters, and regional headquarters levels. Mr. Butler currently performs as an AT program manager in support of the FAA Contract Tower (FCT) Program. Previously, he served as an air traffic control specialist (ATCS), automation specialist, area supervisor and area manager at Dulles International Airport, FAA Headquarters AT Project Officer, assistant AT manager at West Palm International, Florida, AT manager at Sky Harbor International Phoenix, Arizona, regional program manager, regional AT section manager, regional AT branch manager, and senior systems analyst for the FAA Southeastern Regional Office in Atlanta, Georgia.
