Lisa Goetze, the wife of Dr Gerhard W Goetze, supported his love of flying gliders by taking their 5 young children to Harris Hill, Elmira, Soaring Capitol of America, for picnics while he was soaring. She also immigrated with her husband to the USA from Germany for Gerhard to pursue his career in applied physics for the development of night vision with the Department of Defense and the live broadcast camera with the NASA Apollo space program. Her love of flight is evident in her photography of clouds.
