Wall of Honor Level: Air and Space Friend
Honored by:
Mr. Darryl K. Christen
Following in his elder brother’s footsteps by volunteering for flight school early in World War II, he saw action in Europe with the 8th Army Air Force in B-17s. Upon receiving extensive battle damage over Germany, “Lady Lace” was crash landed in Poland, and the entire crew evaded capture through assistance of Polish and Russian partisans.
Upon the end of WWII, he returned home (as did millions of others) and raised a family.
“An Ordinary Man who did Extraordinary Things.”
