Nick has always enjoyed airplanes and aviation. He served in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant from 1967 to 1971. His tours included Alaska and Japan. Nick graduated from the College of San Mateo with an Associate of Science degree in Aeronautics in 1973. He enjoys reading about and observing antique and World War II aircraft. A focused interest of aircraft is the engine and Nick enjoys learning about reciprocating airplane engines. In addition to his love of aviation and aircraft Nick is very involved in antique and classic automobiles. He shares both of these hobbies with his son, Nick Jr.
