    Honored by:

    - I joined the Utah Air National Guard on April 1, 1953

    - I entered into the Air Force "Aviation Cadet Training" on July 2, 1954.

    - I graduated from Cadet pilot training on Oct 16, 1955 and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant.

    - During training I flew four different aircraft: Piper Cub, called a PA-18, the T-6, a World War II fighter aircraft, the T-28, a trainer aircraft and the T-33, a jet fighter aircraft

    - On Oct 17, 1955 I went into advanced Fighter training where I flew the T-33 and the F-86. I graduated from Nellis Air Force Base the end of February 1956.

    - In Feb. 29, 1956 I returned to the Utah Air National Guard and flew the F-86, the T-33, the C-45 and the C-47.1 worked full time for the Utah Guard for five and one half years from June 10, 1957 to the fall of 1962.

    - On Feb. 15, 1963 I joined the United States Air Force at McChord AFB, Tacoma, Washington and flew C-124 aircraft until March 1967 when I left the Air Force and:

    - I went to work for Western Air Lines on March 27, 1967. On May 12, 1979 I was advanced to Captain in the B-737. For 20 years I worked for Western and we merged with Delta Airlines in 1987. In total I completed 27 years and 6 months flying with the two airlines by Oct 3, 1994.

    - While working full time for the airlines, I also flew with the Utah and California Air Nation Guards and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on Oct 15, 1976, having completed over 23 years in the service. Approximately six years on active duty and 17 years in the National Guard.

    A: In my Military career I flew the following aircraft: PA-18, T-6, T-28, T-33, F-86, C-45, C-47, C-124, C-97, and C-130

    B. In my Air Line career I flew the following aircraft: DC-6, L-188, B-737-100, B-737-300, B-720B, B-707, B-727, DC-10, B-757, B-767, and MD-11
