Lt Col Edward “Fast Eddie” Lewis III served 28 years in the Air Force and Ohio National Guard from June 1965 to Sept 1993. He spent the majority of the time piloting the KC-135 Stratotanker for the 160th Air Refueling Group out of Rickenbacker, ANGB in Columbus Ohio.

Lt. Col Lewis was a United States Air Force Command Pilot with over 4,861 flying hours. With 417 Combat hours in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He loved to fly.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
