Wall of Honor Level:
Air and Space Friend

Honored by:
Mr. Scott D. Wilson

George G. "Scotty" Wilson was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, Dec. 29, 1899 and came to the United States in 1922. He was a lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps in Great Britain during World War I, in pilot liaison work between the U.S. Army Air Corps and the Civil Air Patrol during World War II, and later was wing commander of the New Hampshire Wing of the Civil Air Patrol.

He was a barnstorming pilot around New England during the 1920s and 1930s. Those were lush times and it was an unusual Sunday when he failed to realize $350 for a day's work in any town from "Maine to Martha's Vineyard."

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
