    Glen Charles Farnham was born in Loveland, Colorado in 1935. He was in Air Force ROTC at Colorado State College (now UNC) and at graduation was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant into the United States Air Force in 1957. On 30 March 1961, Farnham was the Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) aboard a B-52G bomber on a training mission when it crashed near Denton, North Carolina killing 6 crew members. First Lt Farnham and one other crew member, Major Wilber Minnich, ejected and survived. Farnham served at various bases during his career including Dow AFB, Maine; Offutt AFB, Nebraska; Upper Heyford RAF, England (SAC Detachment); and Ubon Royal Thai AFB, Thailand (16th SOS). While in Southeast Asia (1972-73), he flew 135 combat missions as the EWO/Black Crow on an AC-130 gunship. On 15 August 1973, Major Farnham flew on the last combat mission of an AC-130 in Southeast Asia. His final assignment was as the Air Force liaison for electronic warfare matters to CINCLANT in Norfolk, VA. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1978.

    Glen and his wife, Harla, have been married for over 66 years and live in Sun City West, Arizona. They have two adult children - Lynne and Greg.
