    Beginning in 1952, Lt. Col. Harry V. Runge was a career aviator in the United States Air Force for over twenty-two years. As a pilot, he flew a variety of jet fighter aircraft including the F-86 Sabre and the RF-101 Voodoo. During the Vietnam conflict, he flew 2 04 missions and was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters. The Runge family is proud of his accomplishments that have earned him a place on the airfoil inspired "Wall of Honor".
