    Lt. Colonel Michael R. Roberds served as a U.S. Air Force officer and fighter pilot for the first 8 years of his aviation career. Accumulating 1,500 hours in eight different aircraft including the AT-38, A-37, F-4D/E and the F-16A/B, he logged 20 hours of combat time and 12 combat missions over Panama during the 1989 “Operation Just Cause”. Following his 8 years of active Air Force duty, he joined the Louisiana Air National Guard where he served for 7 years as an Air Liaison Officer and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. After 7 years in the Air National Guard he joined the Air Force Reserves and is currently serving as an Air Force Advisor for the Army’s 87th Division in Birmingham Alabama. He is also a Pilot with Delta Airlines and has accrued 4,000 hours of flying time in the L1011 and the Boeing 727, 757, and 767. Presently he is an Instructor Pilot on the Boeing 767-400 aircraft.
