Flew B-17’s with 482nd bomb Group, Alconbury, England, from 1 February 1945 to 20 April 1945. Rank: 1st Lt.
    Flew P-51 fighters from 21 April 1945 to October 1945 with 383rd Fighter Squadron, 364th Fighter Group, Honington, England. Honorable discharge at Camp Beale, CA, on 21 December 1945. Remained in AF Reserve from 21 December 1945 to 15 May 1981.
    Awards: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 6 Clusters.
