Richard N. Suter, born Dec 9th, 1933 in Minnesota. Joined US Air Force and attended Aviation Cadet Class 55-H at Reese AFB Texas where he trained in B-25's. Upon graduation he was assigned to Kimpo AB Korea where he flew L-6's. After completing his tour he transitioned to the F-89 Starfire. During his 20+ year career Richard flew many aircraft including F-102, F-106, and F-4’s. He completed 2 tours in Vietnam where he flew F-4 Phantoms and was assigned to the 555th. He retired as a Lt. Col at George AFB, California. After retiring he continued to fly until medical reasons forced him to turn in his wings for good. As a small child growing up in Washington State I can remember him buzzing the home we lived in on his way to McCord AFB and causing quite a commotion in the town. Lt. Col Suter passed away July 29 2011. God bless you Uncle Dick, you fly with the angels now.
