    Roger C. Riggle Lt. Col USAF Ret.
    Received pilot wings and commission at Vance AFB, Oklahoma (Pilot Class 49C) September 30, 1949. Flew 823 combat flying hours in Korea while assigned to the 4th Troop Carrier Squadron 62nd Troop Carrier Wing.
    Completed the Squadron Officers’ Course at Maxwell AFB, Alabama in 1952.
    Assigned to the 58th ATS(M) 1700th ATG(M) MATS for three years flying the line to North Africa and Europe.
    Assigned to 6605th Air Base Group NEAC (later renamed 4081st Air Base Group SAC) at Harmon AFB, Newfoundland for three years as Air Operation Officer. In 1959, returned to the United States to attend B-52 training as an Aircraft Commander at Castle AFB, California.
    Assigned to the 348th Bomb Squadron 99th Bomb Wing at Westover AFB, Massachusetts. Spent five years there with about one-third of the time on strip alert.
    Assigned to the 329th Bomb Squadron 93rd Bomb Wing at Castle AFB, California as a B-52 instructor pilot and standboard pilot.
    Retired after 23 years military service with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
    Qualified in the following aircraft: T-6, B-25, C-45, C-54, C-47, L-20, SA-16, and B-52.
    Total military flying time: 10080 hours.
