    Honored by:

    Served as a pilot in the US Army Air Force and US Air Force from 1942 to 1967:

    - Flew 278 air missions during the Korean War between 1950 and 1951, transporting troops, munitions, and supplies to the front lines, while returning to Japan with hundreds of severely wounded soldiers. Piloted C-46, C-47, C-54, and C-124 transport aircraft.
    - Flew many support, supply, and rescue missions throughout Europe, Africa, and South America in the 1950s and 1960s.
    - Spent two years as Base Operations Officer at Dover AFB, DE before retiring as a LtCol in 1967.

    Died on May 27, 1997 at age 74.
