DeWitt Copp was a pilot, an officer, an author, a gentleman and a patriot. He loved to fly and in his many published books most included an aviation theme, including "A Few Great Captains" and "Forged in Fire'.
He instructed flying as a civilian and then flew the C-46 in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
After the war he served his government in several different capacities. He was an outstanding officer and citizen.
