A Career With Wings
Donald W. Jaeger
A military and professional career dedicated to aviation. As a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, Donald W. Jaeger spent his military career as an electronic warfare officer/ navigator. From 196£ to 1972, he served as a part of the VAQ33, an Electronics Warfare Squadron flying on such aircraft as the A-3, A-4, F-4 and EC121. His tour of duty took him all around the globe and found him stationed in Florida, Texas and Virginia.
In 1973, he began his professional career with the Federal Aviation Administration. As an Air Traffic Controller, he diligently protected and safeguarded passengers as they journeyed across America's skies. His career provided him with opportunities to work in several Air Route Traffic Control Centers:
1973 - 1977 Salt Lake City, Utah
1977 - 1979 Honolulu, Hawaii
1982 -1999 Fort Worth, Texas
From, 1979 to 1982, he worked at the FAA Academy / Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sharing his passion for his career by training future Air Traffic Controllers as an instructor.
Donald W. Jaeger spent his final years with the FAA at the Air Traffic Control System Command Center in Herndon, Virginia. He worked from 1999 to 2003 as both a Traffic Management Coordinator and Systems Requirements Specialist.
In July 2003, after thirty years with the Federal Aviation Administration, Donald W. Jaeger retired from a full career of passion, dedication and commitment to aviation.
