Lt Edward DePreter served in the 337th Bomb Squadron, 96th Bomb Group in the mighty Eighth Air Force. He flew 30 Bomber missions over Germany as a Navigator on a B-17 during 1945 in World War II. He was 20 and three months years old when the war was over in Europe.
