    Born in Washington, DC on the 51st anniversary of first flight, with friends watched airplanes during WWII with Army Personnel at Army Observation Tower where Prince Georges General Hospital is now. Observed National Airport rise from the swamp and worked at Airport Gulf Station while going to the G.W. Medical School. First solo flight was July 23, 1951. One high point of life was being flown onto the Intrepid while doing internship at the National Naval Medical Center. Since becoming handicapped, has enjoyed building hundreds of plane models from the Flyer to Space Shuttle.
