    Honored by:
    Mr. Steve Jones

Lt. Jones was stationed at Kimpo AFB from 11/52 to 10/53 assigned to the Fifth Army, 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing during the Korean conflict. He flew 100 missions in the F-86 Sabre Jet against the Russian MiGs. He was credited with two kills and one damage. He was awarded five Air Medals and two Distinguished Flying Crosses. Upon his discharge, he returned to college and received an engineering degree. He followed his passion of flying into the aircraft industry, eventually into the aerospace program. Having been a pilot, his integrity as an engineer of aircrafts was impeccable. One of his assignments was on the redesign of the “O” ring which failed on the Challenger tragedy. He retired in 1990, having given nearly 40 years to his love of flying.
