Honored by:
Newton always loved flying. Flew before WWII. Instructed in P-40 tactics, Tampa, FL, and also flew P-47 auto gas test flights during WWII. He also was a production F4U test pilot at Chance Vought Aircraft in Connecticut as well as a Corporate Grumman Widgeon pilot. Born 9-16-1916, died 1997.
He owned car dealerships from 1947 until 1986. He lived his entire life in Highland Park, NJ.
He inspired many to careers in aviation and flew his own aircraft, North American AT-6C, until 1976.
