    Lt. Robert Godfrey Pride was a fighter pilot and new pilot trainer in two wars – World War II and the Korean Conflict. Between the wars, he served with the Wisconsin National Air Guard. He loved his country and he loved flying.
    Bob joined the Army Air Corps in 1941 as soon as he was 18 and had graduated from High School in Madison, Wisconsin. He flew until the end of the war in 1945. He went to school on the G.I. Bill at the University of Wisconsin, graduating in 1948 with a degree in Labor Relations. Most of his life was spent in advertising, first as a copywriter in agencies in Minneapolis-St. Paul and then as vice-president and creative director of the 3rd largest agency in the world, Leo Burnett, Chicago, Illinois.
    Bob married Jean Dickerson Pride in 1948 and had two children, Marilyn and James. Jean died in 1972. In 1977 Bob married Joan Murphy Pride in Minneapolis, MN and lived with her until his death March 21, 2001.
