Education: University of Alabama, BS in Commerce & Business Administration, 1966; Old Dominion University, MBA -- night school while on U.S. Navy shore duty, 1969-1970
Experience: 1966-1970 U.S. Navy, attended Officer Candidate School, New Port, Rhode Island. Was commissioned Ensign, U.S. Navy Reserve, served as Line Officer aboard USS Johnston DD-821, Destroyer, and was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade while serving on Vietnam duty, then promoted to full Lieutenant while serving officer training at Damneck, Virginia the last eighteen months.
1970-1982 -- Was Vice President of Cobb Coal Company and Bankhead Mining Company
1973-present -- Commercial Pilot-Instrument Rating of Airplane Single and Multiengine Land.
1982-present -- Self employed with Cobb Lands, LLC with business interest and primarily real estate.
I am presently a member and serve on many civic, social and business organizations.
