    Fame & SSA's Warren Eaton Award. FAA's SW Region CFI of the Year
    1998 Award. Soloed in WACO Primary Glider 1930. 1932 "B" soaring
    license signed by Orville Wright. 5,750 motoriess flight hours include 1,300 hours as instructor and FAA flight examiner designee.
    By 1971 as a result of his many high altitude wave soaring flights he developed a systematic, practical method of transitioning from
    soaring in thermal currents to gaining altitude In waves during the same flight,attaining heights of over 30,000 feet. The method published in—SSA's—January, 1972—"Soaring".—For—over—25—years its reliability has allowed countless high altitude flights.
