    Entered U. S. Army as a private in March 1942. Began training as an Aviation Cadet in August 1942 at San Antonio Aviation Cadet Training Center. Received pilot training at Uvalde, TX, Randolph Field, TX, and Ellington Field, TX. Graduated from Advance Flying School at Ellington Field, TX in April 1943 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant and assigned to San Marcos Army Air Field, TX as a Navigation Pilot and later as an Instrument Flying Instructor, April 1943 through November 1945.
    Transferred from active duty to Amy Air Force Reserve in December 1945. Became a member of the U. S. Air Force Reserve in September 1947. Assigned as a pilot in the 732nd Troop Carrier Squadron at Gremier Air Force Base, NH from August 1954 to August 1956. Active in Air Force training until retirement on 17 April 68.
