Enlisted in USAF, 18 Nov 52. Became an Aviation Cadet in the spring of 1953. Commissioned 21 Apr 54, received Navigator’s Wings in June of 1954. Stayed at Ellington AFB, TX as an instructor until April, 1958. Then to Strategic Air Command - B47E, KC97G and KC135A, until August, 1967. Then to Military Airlift Command - C141A and WC130B (Staff Navigator, 53 Weather Recon Squadron, “Hurricane Hunters”), retiring Dec, 1972. Was District Scout Executive, Boy Scouts of America from January, 1973 to April, 1994. I now travel extensively, especially to air shows!
