Keith J. "Rooster" Rimer, LTC USAF (Ret) and Captain at United Airlines.

Keith is the son of Jim Rimer (Frontier Airlines Captain) and grew up in Kansas City, MO graduating from Arizona State University in 1980 on a USAF ROTC Pilot Training Scholarship. He attended pilot training at Columbus AFB, class of 82-02; with follow on assignments to the 140th Wing "Cougars" (CO ANG) as an A-7 pilot from 1983-1985, then as an ALO at Fort Polk, LA from 1985-1986.

Separating from active duty, he joined the USAF Reserve as part of the initial cadre for the F-16C at the 302nd Fighter Squadron "Hellions", USAFRes, Luke AFB, AZ from 1986-1990. LTC Rimer then returned to the COANG's 120th Fighter Squadron "Redeyes" as an initial cadre Instructor Pilot to assist in the conversion from the A-7 to the F-16C.

After serving as Flight Commander for B flight and the Operations Officer Keith became the Squadron Commander for the 120th Fighter Squadron. Under his command the unit was awarded the "Outstanding ANG Unit - Winston P. Wilson" award, largely due to his leadership during and after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

After completing 24 years of military service, Keith continued his civilian airline job with United Airlines as a Pilot Instructor, Line Check Airman and Standards Captain; ultimately Captain Rimer held positions as the System Chief Pilot and Managing Director of Training and Standards. Keith continues to fly for United Airlines and serves as a role model and mentor; he has positively impacted hundreds, if not thousands, of pilot's lives in his career and is especially blessed to be married to Tamara Sue Rimer of Kansas City.
