Service in US Army Air Corps/USAF for a total of 38 years. Enlisted as a Private; retired as a LtCol. Pilot of B-24 in WW II with the 506th Squadron, 44th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. Completed a total of 35 missions over occupied Europe and Germany. Awarded Air Medal with 3 Oak leaf Clusters and DFC. Very active in US Civil Air Patrol following WW II.
