A Command Pilot veteran of a B-26 Martin Marauder tour with the 397th 'Bridge Busters' Group of the Ninth Air Force in WWII, and with the 35th Fighter Op and 3rd Bomb Op in Korea. While still a Captain he flew as pilot of planes transporting Charles Lindbergh, Grover Loaning, Gen. George Kenney, L/Gen William Kepner, and B/Gen Lester Maitland, among early aviators.
