Comment: began working Hendersonville, NC Airport, 1935 as an eleven year old general helper. Concession stand spiel: “A $1,000,000 thrill for a $1 bill, a fifteen minute ride over Hendersonville!” Helped rig airport for night flying and went flying 1939 over mountains.
