    Lt Col Rowland B. Rugeley, USA (Ret)
    Rowland's first plane ride at age 3 mos. in 1930 in the lap of his barnstorming pilot grandfather, the first of many childhood flights, began his love of flying. He joined the Air Force and did his pilot's training in the A6. After the Air Force, he joined the Nat'l Guard, 49th Armored Div., 249th Tank Battalion. Commissioned-officer in 1958, transferred to USAR. Retired as Lt. Col. 1983. Civilian: General Dynamics, Contract Analyst, B-36 program. Texas Wesleyan University, B.S. Joined Boeing Corp., Seattle: Contract Specialist Engineer, B-52 program; Boeing Missiles Div., Engineer, Minuteman Missile Program; transferred to New Orleans for Boeing's Space Exploration program for the moon shot, worked in New Orleans and Huntsville, AL Later went to Boeing's Seattle Military Systems Div., KC 135 tanker program, then 747 program-Customer Engineer for Japan Airlines. Project Test Engineer, Wichita for B52 Nuclear-Other Engineering work on Cessna, A37 Military Sys and LTV on A7 SLUF. Retired from Gen Dynamics, Eng. on F-16 and proposed A-12 Navy.
