    In 1966, after graduating with a BS in Political Science from Loyola College, Baltimore, MD, Stanley "Ski" R. Chrzanowski enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was assigned to the 2nd Air Force Reconnaissance and Technical Squadron, Barksdale AFB, LA, and the 388th Tactical Flight Wing, Korat, Thailand, in intelligence positions.
    In 1970, he received a direct commission to the U.S. Army. After completion of Signal School at Fort Gordon, GA, and military intelligence training at Fort Holabird, MD, he was assigned as an intelligence officer with the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, HQ, U.S. Army, Heidelberg, Germany. He was then assigned to the 525th MI Brigade in the Republic of Vietnam.
    In 1972, he completed basic rotary-wing training at Fort Wolters, TX, before his graduation from fixed-wing, advanced rotary-wing, and instrument training at Fort Rucker, AL, in 1973.
    His Army career included aviation duty with the 1st U.S. Army, Fort Meade, MD; S2, DISCOM, 8th Infantry Division, Bad Kreuznach, Germany; Commander, HHC DISCOM, 8th Infantry Division, Bad Kreuznach, Germany; Branch Director, Tactical Aviation Branch, U.S. Army Aviation Center, Fort Rucker; selection as the first U.S. Intelligence Officer, Multinational Forces and Observers, El Gorah, Egypt; Executive Officer, 201st MI BN, Fort Monmouth, NJ; and Commanding Officer of the 219th Interrogation Company, Fort Monmouth, NJ, where he established the CENTCOM Joint Interrogation Facility (JIF) and JIF doctrine.
    In 1986, he was assigned to the Defense Intelligence Agency as the Communications Architecture Project Manager for the Intelligence Communications Agency. Three years later, he was assigned to the Pentagon as the Communications Architecture Project Manager, in the federal Office of Counter-narcotics. He was a Senior Army Aviator when he retired from active duty as lieutenant colonel in 1990.
