High School Grad. May, 1950. Enlisted in USAF 29 Feb 52. Began Aviation Cadet Class 54-G in Jan 53. Commissioned a 2ndLt. and rated a Pilot 14 Apr 54. Flew SAC F-84F at Turner AFB, GA Aug, 54 to Dec 56. First flight in U-2, mar 57 at Area 51, NV. Flew the U-2 until Jul 65. Attended Command and Staff College Aug 65 to Jul 66. Flew SR-71 1966 to 1973. Retired from Beale AFB 31 Mar 73 as Lt.Col. DFC w/OLC, Air Medal w/13 OLC.
