    Joined the Army-Air Corps in the early 1940’s. Attended Aeronautical University in Chicago, graduating early December 1941. Arrived home four days before attack on Pearl Harbor – leave cut short.
    Pilot training at Kelly Field, San Antonio, Texas.
    Became a flight instructor during World War II.
    Left the service in 1945 but was recalled during the Korean Conflict.
    In his years of service he piloted a variety of planes, including the T-6, B-25, B-26, crew of B-29, C-119, T-33, F-80, and T-37 to name a few. However, it is speculated that his favorite was the B-57, which he piloted in Japan in the mid-1950’s.
    He served his country well and with honor.
