Colonel Pinckert served his country in WWII as a Fight Instructor in multi-engine aircraft in an Advanced flight school, as well as completing transition courses in Martin B-26 bombers and Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses.
After WWII Colonel Pinckert held administrative positions in the USAF Reserves for many years.
