    Entered Service 12-28-1941. 2nd Lt. AAF 09—2-42 Aerial navigator. Assigned MacDill Field. Served as Navigator for General parker. Assigned to 386th Bomb Group, Squadron navigator for 555 Bomb Squadron. Trained in B-26 Marauders. Flew to England via Northern route. Flew 65 combat missions as Group Lead Navigator. General Eisenhower picked our Group to be the last bomb Utah Beach on D-Day. I was the Lead Navigator of the 54 Marauders and we dropped our bombs exactly on time and target. Our Group received a Presidential Citation for being the best of all ETO medium bomb groups from 7-31-43 through 7-30-44. I flew all my 65 missions during this period. Awards DFC, Air Medal with 11 Oak Leaf Clusters, EAME-2 Battle Stars, Presidential Citation, American Theater & WWII Victory Medal. New York State Service Cross. Approved for Arlington National Cemetery. Highest rank Lt. Col.
