    Fighter pilot P-40, P-47, P-51. Group Operations Officer 317th Fighter Squadron and 325th Fighter Group headquarters.

    Flew 61 credited missions from Italy over Europe, 3 in-air confirmed fighter victories. Pilot on first shuttle bombing mission to Russia. Piloted a C-47 on Berlin Airlift during occupation of Germany.

    - Military advisor to Turkey 1951-1954.
    - Deputy Chief of Operations 4081st Strategic Wing, Strategic Air Command (SAC), 1965.
    - Commander 26 AREFS, SAC, 1963-1965.
    - Commander 1st Military Airlift Squadron, Military Airlift Command 1966-1970 (C-133 Cargomaster aircraft).
    - Served on Special SAC Planning Group.

    5000 combat hours [sic] during Vietnam conflict.

    Awarded over 40 military decorations, 15 for heroism in aerial combat including two Distinguished Flying Crosses, one in World War II, the other in Vietnam.
