Enlisted in Army Air cadets in 1942. Called in 1943. Graduated December 1943.
England April 1944. Was in the 351st Fighter Squadron, 353rd Fighter Group in England during World War II. Flew the P-47 Thunderbolt. Serving under General "Hap" Arnold.
Flew 3 missions on D-Day. Credited with destroying 2 and 1 probable in air and several damaged on ground. Retired as LtCol in the USAF Reserve.
