    LtCol (Ret) Geddes entered the USAF 7 June 1954 and was commissioned 2 Nov 1954. Supported and participated in air operation out of Misawa AFB Japan until 1963. He transferred to C-130s until 1966. During the period he flew 3 tours in support of “Operation Deep Freeze”. Later, 7 Nov 1966, he placed the first all jet transport on the Polar Cap Antarctica.
    1969 – Became one of the C-5A test pilots, assigned to Edwards Air Force Base.
    1972 – Became the Chief Pilot/ Standardization Officer C-5 Program, Scott AFB.
    1972 – Became Sq. Commander, 21st Tactical Airlift Sq., CCK AB Taiwan.
    Retired from the Air Force 7 Nov 1974.
