Flew 64 combat missions in the Martin "Marauder" medium B-26 bomber in the 9th Air Force out of England and France in World War II, 1944-1945. Earned Distinguished Flying Cross and 15 Air Medals, plus many other medals and decorations in almost 30 years of flying almost 20 different types of USAF planes. Flew combat in four different wars: World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and Dominican Republic.
