Joseph Boyce Edwards was born June 11, 1927 in Central City, Kentucky. He entered the Navy in 1946. After his service in the Navy he attended the University of Kentucky and was in the ROTC. Joe left the University of Kentucky as a commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Air force. After his service in the Air force he entered the Air National Guard where he served as a Lt. Col. Joe had a true love of flying and enjoyed taking his wife and children for flights' Jsmall aircraft. Joe also loved building and flying radio controlled model airplanes. Joe died at the age of 59 on July 26, 1986.
