Graduate as a pilot Dec 5, 1943. Flew B-17s in 8th Air Force 96 Bomb Group March 44 to Sept 44. Flew 25 missions. Received Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Distinguished Flying Cross. Should have received the Silver Star twice for saving the airplane and crew but was never put in for it. Flew B-47s and B-52s in SAC. Was an instructor pilot, pilot evaluator and instrument evaluator. Was a graduate navigator, radar navigator, bombardier, and gunner. Graduate of every advanced course including nuclear science.
