    Honored by:

Patrick L. Musmaker was a member of the first graduating class of the U. S. Air Force Academy in 1959. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross and Bronze Star awards and retired as a Lt. Colonel.
His interest in aviation began as a boy reading letters his uncles sent back from Europe of their World War II aviation experiences. His own Air Force career took him to every continent except Antarctica.
Pat intently tracked the evolution of the Gemini, Apollo, and Shuttle space programs. One of is his prized possessions a cocktail napkin signed by Lt. Col. H. John Glenn, M. Scott Carpenter, Alan Shepard, Jr. and Donald K. Slayton on February 21, 1962 on Grand Turk Island where he met the astronauts just after the first manned orbit of the Earth.
