-1943-1944 pilot on B-17 assigned to 351st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. Completed 25 missions over occupied Europe.
-1945 instructor pilot B-29.
-1947-1948 instructor pilot instrument flying training and testing for pilot proficiency at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
-1949-1962 completed training in weather forecasting and functioned in weather units to the wing level.
-Completed career as staff weather officer to the US 5th Army Headquarters to determine that command’s weather service needs for Army aviation units.
