    Robert Davis Heath was born in Del Rio, Texas on September 15,1953, son of Lt. and Mrs. William J. Heath. From his earliest years he has had an unending love of aviation. He graduated from the USAF Academy in 1975 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Lt. Heath graduated from USAF pilot training in 1976. His Air Force flying career was as a KC-135 co-pilot, T-38 flight instructor and a U-2/TR-1 pilot and instructor.
    Leaving active duty in 1989, he served in the Air Force Reserve, retiring in 1997 as a Lt. Colonel. He is now a Captain with Delta Air Lines and is FAA certified as a Flight Instructor in single-engine, multi-engine and seaplanes. A National Air and Space Museum Member, Robert has honorably served his country. He is married to Elizabeth Heath and has two children.
