Honored by:
Ms. Helen E. Stacy
In his 58 years as pilot he flew an uncounted number of planes in more than 25,000 hours. In WWII he helped set up approach procedures in Scotland, Ireland and England. He flew Admiral Stark during the invasion, was chief pilot at Orly, and flew the Bulge, Italy, Sweden, Germany and the Potsdam Conference. He later served in the Air Guard or the active Reserve until he retired in 1977 with Command Pilot wings, Air Medal with Oak Leaf clusters and four battle stars. Thereafter he remained active in civilian aviation and as an FAA examiner, almost until his death in 1997.
Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
