Flew 2 years anti-submarine patrol for Navy on East Coast of U.S.A.
Overseas December 1944. Commanded B-17 Squadron near Foggia, Italy. Completed 51 missions over southern France, Germany, Austria, the Balkans, Greece.
DFC for mission to Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Led 97th Bomb Group on 25 missions with a bombing accuracy on three missions of 95%, 93% and 92%.
