Air Navigator with VB-114, Anti-submarine Night Patrol Squadron in ETO. Recipient of two Air Medals for service during 1944. Became Naval Aviator in 1946. Qualified for carrier-based service in F6F Hellcat. Served in U.S. Navy from 8/42 to 12/47. Name changed to C. Paul Jannis in 1948
